About Doug

Meet the man behind the Celebrity Factor

Hi! I’m Doug Bailey.

I’m a talent agent who has worked in the entertainment industry my whole life. My life has been full of turning dreams into reality, not only for the talent I represent, but for myself. I have a passion for helping individuals realize their full potential and step into their spotlight.

From the moment the sun crests over the Hollywood Hills, my day erupts, with a turbo charged high-octane current of ambition and charisma. I step into a bustling office where every phone call holds the potential for a breakout role, every email a chance to secure a game-changing deal. Here, my daily landscape is dominated by the people who grace our TV and movie screens our fashion runways and magazine ads. The captivating actors, their raw talent burning and the stunning models, whose beauty is matched only by their fierce dedication. This isn't just a job; it's a relentless, and exhilarating pursuit of dreams, where quick wit, sharp instincts, and unwavering resolve are the keys to unlocking success for a dazzling roster of clients.

From the iconic film studios of Universal, ABC/ Disney, and Marvel Entertainment, to the dazzling fashion sets of Vogue magazine, I've seen firsthand how dreams become reality. I’ve also worked with thousands of people that never realized their potential or achieved their dreams because their  talent wasn't enough. It’s actually never enough. Celebrity and international acclaim isn't achieved through talent alone. It is a calculated system, a blueprint for success that part psychology, sociology and cultural dynamics.  The Studios kept this formula for entertainment success under wraps for years.  It's  discovering who you are, mastering communication and charisma, defining a blockbuster brand, creating buzz and developing a laser focus. However, even that is not enough, it takes developing an undeniable faith in your purpose and future matched with a tenacious grit that guarantees success.  It’s these concepts and techniques that became the Celebrity Factor and companion systems.

I grew up in Long Island, NY with an incredible family. My mom was the kindest and most giving person I have ever met and my dad was the hardest working and most faithful man. I also had an amazing brother and sister. And while we didn't always get along, they survived my childhood and are still here to talk about it. I was a very challenging kid. I had a lot of energy and a mind that was faster than most kids my age, and even some of the surounding adults. It seemed like I was always looking for attention, and pretty regularly getting into trouble for it. School bored me and I just couldn't find where I fit in. Then my elementary music teacher took a risk on me and made me the lead in the school play. She saw my energy as a positive thing that just needed to be harnessed and directed in a positive way. And she changed my life.  I found myself running around on a stage singing and dancing for crowds of people.. It was during that show that I discovered the power and influence that entertaining a crowd could give you. The things that would get me in trouble in class or at home, made audiences cheer and applaud.

Discovering what I was good at finally gave me confidence in myself.  I started learning about acting and performing wherever I could. My grades started to soar, I became good at sports, started making friends,  and I was even offered a scholarship to college. I literally found “my thing.” I realized I could connect with audiences through singing and acting. I pursued a double major at Ithaca College in Music and Theater, and developed a voice talent that would lead me to sing professionally for Disney, headline at the Hard Rock Cafe and The House of Blues, appear on national television, and even open for the Backstreet Boys!

In my early 20’s after college I had my first chance to work in TV & Film. I was hired as the satellite uplink asst for the Grand Opening of Universal Studios Florida. That meant that any famous or powerful person in Entertainment that was at the event interacted with me during their network interview. The job did not change my life. Networking and learning to  create quick connections and simple things to chat about did.  From there, I was hired at Nickelodeon and worked on their first official TV pilot shot in Florida, Welcome Freshmen. I moved into the art department and made Gak and Slime for Double Dare, Family Double Dare and Super Sloppy Dare with Marc Sommers, and had fingers that were stained weird colors from the GAK dyes for weeks after the shows wrapped. Later that year I moved into talent casting on All That and Hi Honey I’m Home and that’s where I got the bug for working with talent.

There was a local talent agency looking for someone to run their TV & Film department and I got the job at 20.  Because of all of the connections I made at Disney, Universal and Nickelodeon, I actually made more money for the agency my first month than the owner did! She realized I was a natural, decided to mentor me and by the end of that year, my father and I made an offer to her and bought her out.

My Dad was a brilliant businessman and was one of the best salesmen I've ever met.  He taught me the power of authentic connections, incredibly hard work, and the idea that the “salesman is king”.

I live in Florida with my 3 kids and my Dog named Axle. My oldest daughter is a brilliant actress and photographer that has the ability to capture peoples essence with her camera. My middle child and son is studying to be an EMT/Fireman and is my very own personal hero! And my youngest daughter may one day take over the world as she is the most organized and efficient of all of us, at 15 started her own bakery business and is currently the CEO of our house and is the only one that knows all the passwords and how to turn on and schedule my sauna in the garage!

My journey has been one of hard work, intense focus and dedicated mindset..  And now, I want to bring everything I’ve learned from 40 years in the entertainment industry to you. I want to share my experiences and entertainment stories through public speaking engagements, books and coaching programs.
